There was much excitement (and a few sore heads!) at the Fat Media offices recently when we returned from a glittering presentation evening in Blackpool having picked up the trophy for Creative Business of the Year 2011 at the Red Rose Awards.
The awards, organised by the Lancashire Business View magazine, are among the most prestigious in the county, rewarding and recognising the companies, individuals and organisations that have not only survived but thrived in incredibly challenging times.
Our entry focused on the successes we’ve had in the past year, delivering tangible commercial results through innovative new projects for existing clients and gaining lots more new ones, attracted by the range of quality creative services we offer.
We highlighted the all-inclusive nature of our creative skills, from website design, e-mail marketing, flash animation and search engine optimisation, to our full graphic design department producing corporate branding, printed materials and exhibition designs.
The award couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time, with lots of exciting new projects for an ever-expanding list of fantastic clients leading to the recruitment of several more talented colleagues.
And as all good acceptance speeches go, amid the tears of delight, our MD Mike Gibson made sure to ‘share’ the moment appropriately, saying: “To be recognised as the best creative business in Lancashire is fantastic news and recognition for the superb work of our staff, the fantastic websites, graphic design and digital marketing work we produce, and the faith placed in us by our clients in Lancaster and across the UK.”
Marketing director, John French, added: “We’re delighted to have had the expertise of our Creative Team recognised by this prestigious award.
“The last year has been a significant period of growth for Fat Media, which has seen our turnover soar to in excess of £1 million and the addition of 8 new talented staff.’’
Thanks everyone – we love you all!
