Fat Media are delighted to have recently launched two brand new NHS websites for North Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group and Manchester Integrated Care Gateway.
The North Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group covers various geographical wards across North Manchester; it has 36 practices and a registered population of over 189,000.
Key Objectives
The NMCCG team came to Fat Media with a key objective – to create a clearly structured, informative website for the local community, current patients and their GP practice team. It was important that the new site boosted engagement substantially and included a secure area for GPs and health professionals to connect and share their expertise online.
Feature-Packed Development
Our project team here at Fat Media worked on a host of new innovative solutions and have developed a brand new site packed full of features. The public facing site includes links to national NHS campaigns such as Change4life and Stoptober as well as local information, publications and a self-care resource aimed at encouraging a healthier lifestyle. The website also has a full site search tool, text size accessibility feature and social media bookmarks.
The staff secure log in area has a number of advanced features including specific ward information and an EDOS (electronic directory of services) which offers a full A-Z database of referral links. It also features a blog from the Chief Clinical Officer and a GP forum which allows GPs to share information securely online.
The Integrated Care Gateway Website
Alongside the development of the North Manchester website, Fat Media also produced a brand new website for the city-wide Integrated Care Gateway – an electronic referral gateway set up to manage healthcare demand.
The Integrated Care Gateway website also includes accessibility features, Google translate and social media links alongside key patient documents and publications. A GP Practice log in area was also developed on the website, built exclusively for practices within North, Central and South Manchester Clinical Commissioning Groups to ensure members could access resources and downloads easily.
Aesthetically Pleasing Design
In terms of styling, both websites focus on clean lines, simple CTAs and inspiring colours. A selection of photography from across Manchester is also used within the rotating header banner; ensuring a local message remains at the heart of design.
A member of the NHS team said on the launch of their new site:
North Manchester CCG is very pleased with the final output of the website design which is vibrant, modern and very user friendly. The team were very approachable and supportive of our lack of website knowledge.
