The leading Lancaster district charity working with homeless people and those in housing poverty now has a new brand and user-friendly website.
Lancaster and District Homeless Action Service provides advice and resources to people sleeping rough, or struggling to manage their own accommodation.
A small number of staff and a network of volunteers help people find suitable long-term accommodation and learn the life skills essential for independent living. They also help provide food, shower and laundry facilities.
Designed and developed free by Lancaster digital marketing agency, Fat Media, the new website at www.ldhas.org.uk gives information about the service's support and advice resources, day centre opening hours and contact details.
Fat Media creative director, Dominic Williams, said: "As a significant employer in the district, Fat Media believes it's our duty to reinvest in our community and contribute positively and actively wherever we can. We support many community initiatives and causes and are proud to offer our services to such a vital resource as LDHAS. We'd urge other businesses to help their work by supporting the gala dinner."
The site is currently also promoting the LDHAS' major annual fund-raising event, a gala dinner and dance at Lancaster House Hotel on Friday, September 13.
The evening will include a four-course meal accompanied by live music and dancing. There will be a number of auction prizes including corporate Manchester United tickets and holidays.
Businesses, individual supporters and organisations can book tables of 8 for £300 which includes all the above as well as providing a great networking opportunity with local businesses who support the same cause.
Companies who want to be involved at a corporate sponsor level can get details of sponsorship deals designed to appeal to businesses of all sizes by emailing Darren Mills of LDHAS supporter, IT Works recruitment consultancy on [email protected].
