Theatre by The Lake (TBTL) is a year-round professional producing and presenting theatre which provides a service through the performing arts to communities of, and visitors to, Cumbria. The theatre  approached us to pitch for the redesign and rebuild of their website in May of this year with a view to launch an exciting new site towards the end of 2012.
In order to learn about the objectives of the new project , as well as all aspects about the theatre, five of the Fat Media team spent two brilliant days behind the scenes to gain a firm understanding of the theatre’s history, how it is run, the productions, ticket sales and fundraising. Essential to making the new website design and build project a complete success.
To bring the site online quickly we had two teams working in tandem, one created a beautiful design befitting the theatre and its productions whilst  the other worked with the leading arts ticketing organisation, Tessitura. This ensured tickets could be purchased quickly and easily through the site with all the customer service and extras you would expect face to face at the booking office.
The end result is which has received a huge amount of early praise including this tweet from leading Arts organisation, The Lowry:
