Our Challenge

Hallmark Hotels are a group of 28 properties across the UK, from the Scottish Highlands to the south coast. Each hotel has it's own distinctive personality, but all share the same high standards.

They wanted to refresh their website's look and feel, as well as improve the booking process to maximise the number of direct bookings they were receiving.

We are also proud to provide ongoing digital marketing support to the brand, covering a whole range of digital channels.

Enhancing The User Experience

Ensuring a website is user-friendly can only be achieved through UX research before starting the design. We conducted a thorough workshop with a variety of stakeholders to ensure we had a full picture of who the Hallmark Hotels users are, and what they need from the site.

Topics included opinions on the current site, customer persona development, and user journey mapping.

These findings helped us to structure the navigation and informed the various page layouts, to ensure users found the information they needed as soon as possible.

A vital part of the user experience to get right is of course the booking process. By integrating with Sabre SynXis, something few other agencies have executed, we are able to give guests a seamless experience. There is also the added benefit to the Hallmark Hotels team, who have greater control and flexibility over their nightly rates.

Creative Marketing

We've had a huge amount of fun creating digital campaigns for the Hallmark Hotels brand. To help them stand out in crowded newsfeeds, we created a number of cinemagraphs - still images with a moving element. They're really unusual an eye-catching.

We have also created a number of interactive games, also for use on social media. Quizzes, memory games and spin-the-wheel spot prizes have proved really successful, both in terms of engagement and data capture.

This compliments a full range of digital advertising tactics, including Google Adwords, remarketing, social media advertising and affiliate marketing.
